The Training Centre is the ideal venue for meetings, staff training and team building days.  It offers a light and modern space with enough room for up to 60 delegates.

We offer a wide range of competitively priced training courses, facilitated by local providers throughout the year.  If time or staffing are issues, accredited online courses start from as little as £20!

Mental Health First Aid:

This two day, internationally recognised training course, is designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis.  The course is delivered in four manageable chunks:

·         About mental health

·         Depression and anxiety

·         Suicide and psychosis

·         Self-harm and eating disorders

It focuses on the issues faced by young people today, such as cyber bullying and substance misuse, and teaches how to promote protective factors and good parenting.  

Everyone who completes the course gets a Youth MHFA manual to refer to whenever they need it, and a certificate to say they are a Youth Mental Health First Aider.

Date:   12 & 13 March 2019

Cost:  £200 per person

Making Sense of Autism:

This one hour session is designed for staff teams within a setting who need to develop their awareness and understanding of autism. This includes teachers, teaching assistants, transport staff, lunchtime staff, senior management, governors and service staff such as administrators.

It will support participants to:

  • Identify the four key areas of difference that need to be taken into account.
  • Know the importance of understanding the individual pupil and their profile of strengths and areas for development.
  • Identify the key areas to help pupils on the autism spectrum build positive relationships with staff, peers, families and people in their community.
  • Develop an awareness of the sensory and communication differences that pupils may experience.

This session is suitable for practitioners working with school-age pupils on the autism spectrum in both mainstream and specialist services.

Leadership Live (NPQML & NPQSL):

These programmes aim to develop groups of potential middle leaders, current middle leaders and potential senior leaders across primary and secondary school.  Participants will build their core professional skills and collaborate as a team.  This will ensure consistent and outstanding leadership training and support across both primary and secondary schools within Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire.

Launching May 2019

NPQML – £750.00 per person

NPQSL – £850.00 per person


Teachers Trampoline

This two day course will qualify you to deliver trampoline gymnastics sessions within a school environment.

Through the course you will develop the skills to support a variety of impressive front and back landings, twists and shaped jumps. You will learn about the importance of creating a safe environment and the code of practice when folding and unfolding the trampoline.

You will be a trainee or qualified PE teacher, or a non PE specialist teacher in possession of a current UKCC Level 2 Certificate in any discipline.

Date:  4 & 5 May 2019
